I was trying to create some more characters to better organize some of my gear and white items and what not

When going to create my character it tells me I cannot I already have the maximum number of characters

I only have 8. There are plenty of examples of people with up to 16 characters.

Any idea why this is? Is this a mobile glitch? Did it get changed at some point from 16 to 8 for some reason and now I’m just stuck with 8 forever?

Any answers are greatly appreciated
