1 - you don't add them to your inventory, they just add stats. The totems you can find (that add stat or guild points) drop, but we're considering them a myth since they haven't dropped in ages
2 - correct, but only in the "main" slot
3 - it's for when you're playing a caster, you could either use the main slot to buff your stats (like using an int / max mana charm), or using a damaging charm + a heal charm
4 - with a melee char, you don't need the acc slot unless you want to use a heal
5 - none whatsoever. as a random event, you can spawn these "evil presences", which are significantly harder to kill and tendentially have a significantly better droprate than the normal mobs do
6 - if you want to avoid all random events (evil presences, objectives etc) you can just whistle (press the icon on the top left in the catas, or T for whistle) and mobs will spawn all the time. you don't need to re-engage, you can just continue whistling when the mob screen is empty
