I think this change along with gaining proficiency for items lower than your rank is a great add to the game and should stay.
I personally have bought hundreds of essences and also almost to rank 2 muting, even though i rolled nothing i will continue to try
I know Paul said some might be reverted based on how it goes so lets leave some feedback-hopefully positive!

Been great for the economy in terms of so many items being bought.

It's also helped to some extent the amount of items as currently there is still a massive lacking of decent axes and seeing everyone who reaches headhunter will need an axe set means that their prices are out of control. A couple of decent muted axes are a step towards them not costing 5 milllion fg each.

Total Transactions: 353 This month (16 days) with all days being played AND this is excluding 137+ i've sent to a guildy.
Total Transactions: 437 May and May was a pretty good month for me.

Bear in mind 90% or more of those transactions are mute sales.

I'm presuming this puts me under "I have sold MORE items to roll" so i'll dump a vote in the top one.

Overall, I really like the change. Being able to reroll items without having to have a crazy muting level is great and has really seemed to stimulate the economy. I was a little upset at first that I lost so much prof gaining potential from rerolling, but now, if I can sell essences, I may be able to afford buying items to sustain my muting, which in turn could really help the HC economy

This has made glyphing a fucking breeze! Now that i get prof from magic/rare even though Im at mystics has allowed me to really fly through this rank. I cant wait until I see how fast arcane rank is now that I dont have to go a tier up to get real prof

Null vote as none of the categories work for me.

I found the change to be good for non skillers to actually sell some items at 2fg instead of 1fg (guessing they are not shrined)

I have bought/sold essences or items to roll
sold items counts for me, i just meant if you have increased what you sell for skilling or if you have bought for skilling or started/increased skilling

basically anyone can mute an essence with an item to instantly reroll, you do not need to have any proficiency
you can also skill and get points lower than your rank

Hasn't really changed my play style. I keep all essences since I will eventually need them for suffusencing.

I like the new system as it is. It's a big improvement. That's how muting should be imo... instant. Like it used to be over a decade ago.
