I think it'd be a great idea if we could see the level bracket or monster difficulty in group list. Reason: safety.

I had a very close call today. One guy created a game with his Lv 83 character and started skilling. I joined with my Lv 71 skiller and we chatted a bit. Before long, a couple others joined, both Level 1. Not long after, the game creator left and MQ'd. I rejoined with my Lv 1 Lock and geared up. Soon, everyone was ready to do a group climb. I was the first to go in the catacombs and guess what? There was one monster in there. He did about 200 damage to me in one hit. I was very very VERY lucky to catch on real quick and clicked on the door without even thinking twice about what was happening. So I escaped and survived.

Someone could easily TPPK (a Diablo 2 term for those of you who aren't familiar with that word. You can google that word) with this method, so I think this suggestion is needed to keep everybody safe. :)

For example, this could be added (sorry for bad paint skills):

Either that or show level bracket (in this example above, it would be 56 - 66). So, if someone were to join with a Lv 1 char, and the original game creator left, the monster difficulty should still be the same. Especially if there were still live monsters in the catacombs.

edit: Err... I just realize it should've been "Monster Level = 61". Sorry, brain fart. -_-

I know that now. :) But not everyone does (I clearly didn't then. Never realized about that kind of possibility in all my years of playing LS). It's just like Cows, a very old, classic way of killing lowbies. The tppker creates a cow game, draws many mobs of cows to the red portal and goes up to town in the very last possible second, and then afks. Lowbie noobs go in and rip.

When I had a ~lvl 140 FC caterpillar in my cata I was considering opening the game to 100 lvls and asking if anyone wanted to test their strength. But then I decided that someone might accidentally tppk themself. Even though it was only a SC death... some people take that kinda thing really seriously...

But yeah, I guess since he was triple killing if you were below 4k hp, it woulda been unpleasant for some with a lot of prof :P

Been a common thing to always ask the "Creator" if it is safe in catacomb even if you are skilling in town. Personally it was rude that this person did not tell you from the Start, it is a golden rule of mine to "Make sure there are NO monsters in the catacomb" when creating a "Group" for a "Well" or any other purposes.

Fundamentally, even if this was implemented, how would you know if there is a Monster or more waiting in catacomb, should there be an indicator by the "Catacomb" saying (0 or X number of mobs) before clicking it?

Null Vote: I just love ice cream.

EDIT: this dog still hasn't learnt from old mistakes, logged in with 65 pally, saved settings organised windows, created Guild only game (no one can join) and still wearing my EES gear while MQ gear is in my Inventory (first 3 places)

Guess we forget the basics at times.
