Are there any restrictions on drop rate after a certain level?

Also are there any spreadsheets on spawn rates for items / mods?

fighting lower level mobs than yourself will give fewer drops, can be tested with /whistle 1.

in theory drops should remain consistent whatever level you're at.

in terms of the spreadsheets i do not believe so. All we got is what the maximum possible which we already gave you and that's excluding overspawn (killing mobs with magic luck has a small chance of overspawning, which is to go upto 1 tier above the normal drop, so a tier 1 can drop with 40ee if it's overspawned)
I do not believe all attributes are equally likely to spawn though, extra equipment slots i've certainly noticed to be less common, str/dex/vitality/int/ee are also reasonably common, usually just in low amounts so still worthless.

Got it, is there a level cap on monsters? I wanted to keep grinding after 71 to farm for items with my current item setup its taking me quite a while to kill mobs need to farm more fg to upgrade the items.

But if i'm wasting my time at 71+ with no returns i'll just mq and retry again

you're not wasting your time but consider that you can beat level 45/55 mobs a LOT faster than you can kill level 71 mobs and that even level 45 mobs can drop level 55 items.
You will reasonably quickly get to a stage of being better off mq'ing then relevelling than to continue trying to press on. Especially with the gear you have now going past 71 will be super slow.

You may actually find a few map drops along the way which people will buy off of you and some of the level 20/25 items can sell for a lot, so it's not a wasted effort.

Evil presences generally have a significantly better drop rate than normal mobs, so exploring is much better than whistling for drops for that reason.

Do people generally explore every time? I feel like I progress much faster just whistling, but I know the drops won't have as much potential... I just hate clearing the maze. It irritates me when I get almost all the way done and then I get teleported to the opposite end and it takes me 20 minutes to maneuver back through the map.

It can definitely be frustrating when that happens. My only recommendation, and I learned this from BWConformity - if you are already on explored tiles and have a long path to the unexplored area, you can /set easy 1 that way you get to the unexplored area faster & more efficiently. Once near the unexplored tiles, go back to /set easy 0 :)

That makes sense. I guess in theory, it doesn't really matter if it's explored or not because any encounter you have is the same as just standing in place whistling, but there's something psychological about it.

My mindset right now, right or wrong, is if I'm not exping as fast as possible to MQ then I'm wasting my time.

I'm always on east set and i always explore for the heals and glyph's and wells.

I do hate that turning in place spawns mobs, exploring the full maze at level 35+ is a nightmare with trapdoors and teleport ect

I agree.
Awhile back all you had to do was tap WASD to move to that location, rather than turning left or right then hit W to move forward. Driving that way was great, but you'll get used to this way fast.
