of best item to transmute per level?

I know this chart is right

But it’s confusing

so at level 0 prof: The minimum you can use to get proficiency is tier 1 magical. Maximum which is possible to transmute is T2 unique, i believe this is the general idea of minimums and maximums.
so inputting say a magical tier 3 will be refused by the transmuting chamber (literally won't accept it)

there's some complicated stuff here, which may or may not be helpful which might suggest the "best" items to be muting at any specific level to maximum proficiency for your time spent

Early Early Early ranks - mute the minimum as they are in abundance and/or most likely to drop while being the shortest time spent muting.

I generally got most of my prof from climbing while vaulting items, and stripping items to stack essences. Sell the early essences as they are not worth re-rolling (IMHO).

You will always be able to start the "Magical" of the next tier every 1 and 6 ranks. Example, at 41 muting my maximum is stripping/rerolling Magical 40s (which take up to 5-6 mins each) while my minimum is level 30 rare+ (average 3ish mins).

For anyone wanting to start muting now (DON'T), I would stock up on a shit ton of items and then as soon as faster muting event hits, spend several hours on it and repeat until you hate life, want to beat a retarded camel to death with a rusty shovel, or actually like doing the skill while watching your favorite TV show. P.S. Don't expect to climb alot if you do this though, as your vault will fill up with items like Meth shipments in Detroit if you are in a large guild and friends are sending you items.

I wanted to do glyphing and basically feel the same about that. Got about 50% to level 1 and gave up as it's absurdly slow. Could have done half a climb in the same time
