Silly question, but how do you actually trade items with specific other players in this game? Is it through the auction house or is there a trade button in group? I haven't grouped yet so don't know if there are features for that.

Also, if I haven't grouped, should I be trying to do that for some of those quest rewards like extra slots? As a newb I don't want to burden many experienced players trying to grind and I slow down progress. I usually see a lot of advanced classes playing.

You are trading via the market place.
Usually you open a trade topic to sell your stuff.. if you agree with someone on a trade, you will msg each other in game: /msg *accname message
you put the item up and the buyer buys it. dont post it up without contacting as anyone else might buy the item.

(you can also just put anything on the mp to try to do random sales BUT: any trade of 20fg or more will cost you 5% fee UPFRONT compared to sales from 1-19.98 fg that cost fee afterwards)

it might get hard to get in organized groups but as you inprove your gear and get known better (join a slashing guild eventually) it will get easier. there are also random groups that will accept starters

One other thing, I noticed a couple times today while in catacombs I get kicked out. Are there some factors to this like if I'm idle for a few seconds, did I hit an exit, or are there other things like people doing main quest? None of the runs did I completely explore the whole floor.

If you don’t attack while a monster is spawned it will send you to town after like 10 seconds I think

Also somtimes we just get random disconnects
