Recently, the experience cap got removed for higher classes. Instead the required level to do the master quest got increased.
Samurai is now at 73 and Alchemist is at 85 to give some examples. Yet, monsters didn't get easier to kill.

Besides that, the event system now and then encourages players to do level 101 climbs.

All this gives a reason to introduce higher level items if you ask me.
It'd encourage players to do level 101 climbs rewarding them with higher level item drops. And it'd make it easier reaching the master quest, especially for new players.

I know most players could easily do without higher level items, but I still think it would benefit a lot.

What do you think? If you don't like it then I'd love to hear why not.

I've yet to vote, would like to hear some other thoughts on this idea. But it's a no from me currently.

I would much rather see easy mode work passed 71 than higher tier items. Which would help newer players and people with not much invested still reach MQ in a reasonable time without affecting the rest of the player base.
This gives them the chance to really try the game, especially after they have moved on from the feeder classes and easy mode gets turned off automatically.

A new player unlocks more characters, now they have to climb to a higher level? Invest more or go tediously slow with easy mode on.

The new level system provokes players to (obviously) kill higher level monsters than before which should result in more 55 items being dropped in the past than we were used to as well.

No, because it's currently pointless.

Drop rates are so awful, that it would take at least 5 years for the average/new ls player to have a chance of buying a useable lvl 60 etc.

And if we're talking about people with above average gear, it would be 100+ years before most of that player base upgrades to 60s.

I voted no.

The argument for 101 needing higher items is not true
101 is supposed to be a challenge

And having 55 items makes it that.

I do remember this being a poll before but I think it got better feedback.

It would be kinda cool to have lvl 60 items but everybody above had very good points on why we shouldn't.

Easy mode DOES work past 71... it limits eps to 1 maximum spawn.

Should have specified, but was talking about limiting the range of normal mobs that can spawn as well.
