Really, people have some kind of obsession with an item being worth what was paid. History should not have anything to do with value.
I used to have a 96 ee lvl 10 axe and a 97 ee lvl 10 axe both with no useful side mods. During the same time period I was getting solid offers for the 96 ee and not the 97 ee, and I didn't find out why until I checked their histories. The 97 ee had historically been sold for 1 - 19.98 fg throughout it's history with one sale for 50 fg while the 96 ee had a history mainly made of 250 - 500 fg sales.
