*Item drop calculations significantly overhauled to drop more for harder monsters*

1# so is this (vs current player lvl) comparison as well as monsters (self proclaimed difficulty) ?

#2 or just based on (monsters self proclaimed difficulty) ?

i ask because if its #1 i would start welling monster that are further away from my current lvl.

if #2 i would wait to well items for when they are easy and within close range.

Not quite sure what you are asking, but from what I can gather from your post,
this is what I have seen during Solo wells. (ALSO, not 100% about the following!)

It is random:
I can be character level 35, well a TierIII item and the drops range from 1-7 (maybe 8, can not recall),
this can also be said welling a level 30 items.

Note: Some days the drops seem more for items being welled close to character level, but other days,
it is opposite. Also, I believe it is different when welling in a group.

how does welling in a group work?

The following "Group Well" is prior to latest update and am not certain that it is valid now.

Let us say that you can get 9 side drops maximum = 1-10 items. Also, the following is made up:

Solo:
100% chance you get 1 item (the item you put in well)
32-51% chance you get 1-2 side drops
17-31% chance you get 3-4 side drops
07-16% chance you get 5-6 side drops
03-06% chance you get 7-8 side drops
01-02% chance you get 9 side drops.

Group: You gain 1% additional chance per person in group. Example for full group:

36-55% chance you get 1-2 side drops
21-35% chance you get 3-4 side drops
11-20% chance you get 5-6 side drops
06-10% chance you get 7-8 side drops
01-05% chance you get 9 side drops.

END NOTE: The numbers are made up just for an example
