and this comes from a guy who solo explore to 83 as a headhunter with 130 EE leather most of the times.
I would also point out that even the theory that it was to balance the length of the season and feeder having 2 doors is wrong. What we actually had was a scenario where if feeders drove, for example, in games where alchemists joined, by level 71, the alchs might be 60.
So you either had the highest class drive always, basically penalizing them for their time, effort, and luck, as well as curbing the free health/mana gotten by everyone else leveling at a normal speed, or you pass by all the highest classes so fast that mob levels are way higher than their levels, and everyone else is ready to MQ 20 minutes before they are.
This way, at least it's honest. Everyone can level at the same speed regardless of who drives, and there are more levels for drops, without forcing an artificial slowing of how long each of those levels takes.
