I'm interested in knowing how you guys spend your time solo leveling with magic find as your objective.
Do you ever use those "crappy" maps that don't have any EPs or wells on them?
It's easier to find new maps on low levels as the mazes are smaller but at higher levels those "crappy" maps with heals and other stuff on them don't get any exp so are these just pure trash or do you find them useful at any point of the game?

Basically I do. I have one(1) item with +7 Magic Luck, I use this item from level 25 to 71 (Guardian) / 73 (Samurai) and 75 (Paladin).

Based on my gaming style and previous advice I gave you about Retribution / Salvation, the following item is great to use:

Mythical focused heal VIII
Level Req: 25
Heals: 161 to 193
Mana Cost: 61

+113% Enhanced Effect
+7 Magic Luck
+6% Armor Pierce

+3% Mana Syphon
+1% Power Shot

Guardian I can use both Retribution and Salvation without adding any points to Intelligence.
Samurai I basically only use Salvation and get to 35-45 Base Intelligence
Paladin I am currently testing Retribution with Salvation and 50 Base Intelligence.
NOTE: I only use heavy weapons.

When I do Maps, I use the ones where they are capped to level 30 (IV) / 35 (V) and 40 (VI), but, at times I will do higher tiers.
I found that doing too many Maps, you end up with no space because you end up with a ton of Whites, since I don't sell them
I basically run out of room to store them.

Since my return to Ladder Slasher, I do use a Vault (never use to) with only 50 slots, but on Hardcore, making up the 100 forum
gold in 30 days is kinda hard. But, it has come in handy to holding my +9 ML Axe and +8 ML Polearm when I come across a well.

Low Tier maps with +20 or more Level Cap and if even luckier with +x Evil Presence. So... Tier1 (Patched) + 20 Level Cap means
you can start doing them at Level 31 to Level 35 (5 maps cleared) since the level cap is 35. Mind you it is better if the Tier is say III
and IV and V... at least these won't be too large.

I sold my +5 ML level 30 Focus Heal with 113 enhanced effect because it did not have the Armor Pierce or any other mods that helped
with damage... you could try to invest in a similar Heal type charm (maybe higher tier / enhanced effect) if you want to go Magic Luck
hunting, or you could invest in sets of items that compliment each other, which most people do, but the cost will be high.

The only overspawn that is useful that I found... TierIII Fire with 20 Strength.

Hope this info helps... also, link below could help with some of the previous information I gave you on solo'ing using Stat only gear.
IGNORE that it is about heavy weapons and Heal Mastery (annoyed that it got nerfed bad), just look at the Abilities information:

Some interesting comments there also.

I was mostly interested if people do maps at lower levels if these maps don't have any fancy mods on them.
I did 1 full solo climb with paladin using both retribution and salvation and then 1 full solo climb with samurai (155 ee chain lvl 55 armor vs. 57 strength level 55 leather armor on paladin) using powerstrike and twohitback and I felt better playing with samurai.
The climb was faster and smoother. That could be due to my heals being bad (mq only 90ee).

I'm considering trying a single magic luck item to see if it helps with wells but I dont feel like investing a lot of FG into full sets of items.
Your heal is sick but it seems you haven't had much luck with finding super items.
Does ML help only with overspawns or does it help find standard-spawn items too?

Overspawns are impossible without magic luck.
Magic luck should theoretically help all drops.
Super items rarely drop, just a handful a year.

I wouldn’t consider running a crap map under level 20. But above level 25 I may consider it if I am with in the level range to still get XP

I have noticed more Legendary items dropping with magic luck on, they are crap though.
I wouldn't bother clearing crap low tier maps without EPs on it. I don't bother clearing high
level crap maps either, too time consuming, if I wanted to clear them, I would have to use
/set easy 1 command, but that means I will ONLY encounter 1 EP at a time, compared to 1-3.

If you are going with ML gear, then just get them for welling items instead of exploring... this
way you will have higher ml and have a better chance to benefit from it.

That's what I'll do - try to get some ML items for wells only.
I'm on a limited budget so... would you advice like 2 items with ML and some stats on them or just 1 pure high ML item and the rest with stats just to be able to kill those wells?

Keep your Weapon free, unless you are welling lower tier than your character level. I would suggest around 15 ML total, so you could just have Armor / Main charm totaling 15+ ML but, if you get higher ML, more the merrier they say. Try to keep the tier level close to your level if you can... but if not, you can interchange them when welling high tier items.

Best one to ask is BWComformity though.

ML is completely un-necessary.
I would rather be down 1 trap door than not be down a trap door but using say a 10 ML armour/charm/weapon (whichever is least important to the build)

Also the speed at which you do 1-MQ is also compromised.
I've had 3-4 "sexy" drops this season. only one was found with any ML equipped (47 dex robe lvl 55), which was being down 1 TD from EP's using a grand total of 3 magic luck.

Be fast, use wells, fight EP's certainly consider trying some TD's especially at 55-65 (consider restarting to have no TD penalty if it gets slow at around 65).
Obviously you'll need to find the TD's, but they're reasonably common.
had 3x 90ee drops from the well today. Had a few "potentials" from some EP's too.

From my own playing, i found mage the most suitable to my playstyle. Obviously a warlock would be preferable for me, but i'm not that lucky/persistant to get one.
I probably should consider ML whilst welling, but given how i'm playing, I dont feel it's suits me.

Thanks for replying, I would always discard trapdoors :O
I guess that's something to try.

I don't have any caster gear and I've already leveled my proficiency in swords to lvl 9, and I have the gear so I'm sticking with melee :P
