Is there anything that can be done to improve high level fishing?
realistically it's unfeasible and beyond annoying the way it is right now

I'm rank 44 and now catch level 35 fishes, meaning I get tier 10

if I fish in the pond, I get anything between tier 1 and 10, which is 10 tiers of fish
10 * 2 ( mana + life ) = 20 fish
+ rod = 21
+ empty slot for new fish = 22

a character has 16 item slots

so even if I were not to adjust anything (I mean setting the min fish %), I couldn't even keep + stack all the fish I found
even in a well I get t4-10, meaning I get 14 (7*2) stacks + 1 rod + empty = 16, which works, but once I hit rank 49 (if that ever happens) I'll be in the same issue, even in a well

couldn't extra equipment slots maybe work (even if only at 50%) for item slots too? can we maybe buy item slots for fg for a char? earn them with something?
stack fish together differently? stack life + mana together and be able to separate them later (this is highly complicated in a technical way but would be great for space,as there is only 14 tiers of fish)?

I'd be glad to see any kind of change there, I'm not asking to make fishing as skill easier or anything, I'd just like to keep the fish I catch, or be able to use the auto stack minimum without trashing after
(almost) every fish I catch, and maybe at the same time gain a boost towards cooking, as my cooking is 9(!) ranks behind my fishing, and even with that only 3 of 10 tiers I'm catching right now give me cooking prof

thank you for reading and I'm grateful for any kind of input that we could get going towards this, and if I was able to support on any sort of logical level in the code, I'd be glad to do that, too

you forgot to count in the "rare" fish´s, i asume its an additionel stack pr tier :) not making it better tho.

I think the rares are so... rare (hue hue) that they can be disregarded, but you're definitely right

I agree I'm not as high up in the fishing as you are.
But more item slots would help a lot :)

I get a rare fish worth stacking so rarely that I dont even bother any more... mana on a life stack messes with auto stack :( Unless its a really nice fish I just throw it in the junk stack.

perhaps you can choose like the quality of fish, wich fish you want to stack
choose tier 3-6 and all other fishies dont stacked

It’s even painful at lvl 1....which is why I don’t bother. Unfortunately we have had numerous fishing requests/polls and so far nothing has been changed about this yet

yes something needs to be done. You put in alot of time to get to this point and it shouldnt be this difficult to track, store and progress efficiently
Perhaps you need to come up with a specific solution that would be the best and post it as a poll
good luck!

I was thinking why not just set some parameters on the level of fish you catch. If fishing for Tier 10 fish, maximum below that you could catch could be like Tier 7. That way you, after you spent countless hours of leveling prof, you are actually rewarded with catching on average higher level of fish and at a more manageable rate.
