72+ is pretty rough. You'll be fine but will have to play safer.

100 vita isn't bad, if you have stronger dex gear, I would increase that to 110 or 120.

Definitely put some cross strike in there, no need for 100% into double

Yeah definitely an issue where later on you will be heading to town constantly to heal. By stating all vit you have higher survivability, but you take longer to kill monsters as well and thus take more damage and need to town more often.

Options:
*Go that route and get good regen gear for higher levels
*Go 70-80 vit and you will get quicker kills, but it is kinda rolling the dice if you hit some stun monsters later without any EE and lower vit.
*Buy padded ee robes and still have some regen gear for the higher levels. Leveling a bit slower, but safer 65+
*Look for Dex/Int items and go hybrid with heals. Might get you more kills solo but will also be slower due to the healing time. And you will still need regen gear likely for the higher levels.

Make sure you pick proper skills as well to get quick kills (double shot I find to be pretty solid for solo). Depending on what route you take above should determine the other ones.

Melee / Heal (Salvation / Powerstrike / Retribution) [Note: I personally only opt for 2 abilities: Salvation / Retribution]
100 Vita (Rest Int)
EE weapon (hopefully with Int or HM on it)
Int Padded Robe hopefully with some EE on it, or Dex with either Int/HM on it.
Main Charm: Int... or you can go for Dex (with either Int or HM on it)
ACC: EE Heal type charm... pref Focus / Reg heal.

If you have to regen from 55-70, use the /set easy 1 function or just whistle all the way (whistle above 71 to be safer)

Basically that is what used to work for me ages ago, but I use Spears, I will be doing it this way again once I get monk / ninja.

EDIT: forgot to mention, you could also opt that your heal type charm be used in main slot... dependent on mods while increasing the healing capacity by 25% compared to using it in ACC slot.

Retribution is a great skill for high vita melee builds. Stacks up quickly for a (depending on gear) 1 shot kill, great to quickly get rid of stunners
