not having much luck here. Ant posted a mini clip showing the lag but trust me when i say that was just a small taste... some days / climbs are super unbearable where i wanna just log off but I cant cause middle of group climb.

Hi,

I am having lag with ladder slasher constantly to the point of nearly unplayable.

while doing my own research...

1. i noticed my computer temps are high (60-70), I ordered thermal paste hopefully fixes this.
2. When ladder slasher freezes my cpu goes from 30ish% usage to 10~% usage then it unfreezes and I go back to 30 (which seems high? maybe from cpu temps?) - I dont think my cpu usage or cpu temps are what is causing this but I wanted to give this info incase im wrong

When I lag with ladder slasher or seem to stall to load site no other game or website seems to have issues.

I want to believe its just my cpu over heating but why would ladder slasher lag and not other games like runescape, diablo 2 etc. I would try it with more demading games but I dont wanna get addicted to anything other than Ladder crack.

could there be an issue with my connection and d2jsp? It seems my computer has a hard time loading the site sometimes like there is a delay that i don't notice with other sites (maybe unrelated but this is what I believe to be my issue)

Also wanted to clarify

I have tried multiple browsers
My girlfriend plays on her laptop (my computer is hard wired hers is WiFi) she also has terrible lag
I have restarted pc
I have CCcleaned my pc
Virus and malware scanned my pc

Want to clarify I have played through this lag for weeks now hoping it would get better with continued tweaking but its not even fun anymore.

From the video that Ant posted, I have been getting that type of lag myself for the past few days. I`ve heard a lot of others complain about it as well.
Changing the thermal paste on your processor and video card will help temperatures a lot (and cleaning out the computer) in terms of performance but that doesn`t seem to be the problem.

There`s no doubt that it`s something between your server and the ladder slasher server. NOT THAT IT`S THE D2JSP SERVER CAUSING THIS. One of the "middle-man" servers might be the culprit.

This single taste of "freeze" (in ants video) is like a 1/1000th of what some climbs are... I wouldn't post here over some small issue. I agree and I am not blaming the site or game, I am just trying to solve this issue or figure it out so I can have some peace of mind. I play this game more hours a week than I work a job, I want to enjoy it again.

I know everyone is having the small freeze like the video shows (which I hope gets fixed) but mine is more extreme

normally when I have that it resolves if I just /clear

if that doesnt work I go to refreshing the page as its likely been open for days

" " I restart my computer

" " I restart my router/modem

Done all of these.. this is consistent every climb not just random

Actually bought a new modem as well hoping would help (it did not)

I have drops etc and lag spikes with with updated chrome, I have noticed that playing on a different window stopped some [keyword 'some'] of these issues.
Only guessing that LS window is left open and you are on the other tab if you press Play Ladderslasher (thus opens new tab)... i just right click and open Window and close other.

Note: this does NOT stop all the issues, it can also be packet transfer information from ISP and other ports you are connected to. Thus, this will remain.

We could ask Paul to test the "Error Flood Control" settings while monitoring group play.

Last night felt a little better but it’s not consistently the same level of bad every day .. I still had multiple freezes (4 full freezes in 2 levels aka 2 mins). Idk how many times I froze in 1 climb.

I’ve talked to quite a few people they all experience the freezes just some experience them worse than others
