Not that crazy but it is an idea. I'm ok with rejection :D .

The current way to play the game is to go

Axes + daggers or Swords + staves or off class casting.
You can also use clubs on feeder + paladin.

So paladin is good with axes, clubs, tanking and off class casting.

Why not switch monk and paladin positions :D ?

Make monk 3 doors and make paladin 4 doors. The more diverse class would prevail for longer.

This would make people who use swords go Fighter (swords) Samurai (swords) Monk (staves) Paladin (swords) Ninja (swords)
or
Fighter (axes) Samurai (daggers) Monk (daggers) Paladin (axes) ninja (daggers)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-This would make passing between monk - paladin and ninja more rewarding. Right now most people use exactly the same gear for monk and ninja so passing to ninja isn't so rewarding.

-This would increase the usefulness of clubs, swords and axes without devalorizing daggers.

-This would make healing for groups, tanking for groups, etc. more viable in early and late game seasons.

-This would result in more build diversity and consequently more fun in my opinion.

-This would make people consider off class casting + tanking and give more value to medium/heavy armors as well, due to the amount of time you might would spend on paladin.

Also another idea :D

There could be an ability that "charges with damage tanked". So when you take 0s you get charges for that :D .

One of the more fun classes to play so more climbs on him would be nice. Plus it just makes more sense to me also.

I don’t like this idea. If I want to play paladin more I simply leave him at paladin even if he passes mq. Does not make sense to punish people that are trying to get to ninja by making it harder to get there than it already is

Paladins are really good stat wise for swords. Having the first three classes be able to use the same set of weapons help encourage players to play when they pass, and allows them adequate time to gather the rest of their gear while still playing the game. I get that this may be kind of fun for older players, but if you ever want this game to grow this could hurt in the long run. Plus as it is you can do staff/sword/sword/staff/sword or dagger/dagger/axe/dagger/dagger or axe/dagger/axe/dagger/dagger etc.

It would be swaping the position of monk and Paladin. Read before posting next time buddy :) .

A lot of new players are using axes, clubs, staves etc. I see a lot of players using staves and then pass to samurai and if they want to continue playing they look for daggers or swords. Having the 3rd class also be exactly the same just makes the game easy. People are going to continue if they like the game, not if the weapons are the same for the first 3 classes.

What happens to all those noobs that hit 4-door monk, can't pass their mq, are stuck using robes and have a hard time soloing? They quit. Paladin with 4 doors in place of monk would be a great solution. Get stuck on paladin and you have a class that has many weapon choices, armor choices and can handle soloing better for new players. Get stuck on monk and quit. Pass from monk to ninja and realize it's the same thing but different abilities and quit. Changing this would bring forth diversity and be more beneficial for new players than harmful.

Those noobs who buy staves for rogue can now use them on the 1st and 3rd classes. Those guys that have swords can use them on the 2nd and 4th classes. Noobs who buy clubs because they're cheaper can now use them longer. It makes much more sense to split monk and ninja with something different :D .
