If I wanted to get started & try this out, would anyone be willing to "loan" me gear?

I'd send the fg equivalent as collateral, I just don't know if I'd want to invest thousands into this game w/o trying it out.

To loan peoples gear you need to be in their guild so you send the gear through vault. But i dont see how anyone new to the game will be trusted to borrow anyones gear that you gathered for years. Even if you pay the equivalent amount of forum gold as the user paid for it.

Suggest you just start the game and grind it out like we other did or buy items from the forum its the easiest way

Oh I'm not looking for high end stuff lol. Maybe like a pack of items worth 100 fg but I do get what you're saying.

I just want to try and get guild points and this seems to be the only way to make that happen unless I'm missing something

I can't tell if you're trying to earn guild points for your current guild but Outcast has a good system for earning gear (its not amazing gear but definitely helps getting you started)

That requires being a member of Outcast though. Otherwise you'll have to buy some cheapo depot gear

You should take some time to read the info about LS in the "play Ladder section".

Tldr; To earn guild points, you attempt the master quest at level 71 so some people solo it out to 71 ( takes quite some time but can be helpful at the beginning to learm the basics) some people do 5 peoples climbs to do 1-71.

Start by making a LS character.
Then start clicking.

I suggest barb with knockdown or fighter with power strike. Either way go for like 80-100 vita.

You can play to MQ on self found gear. Every climb you will improve your gear and speed

/e just saw you have 7200 fg. You spend like 50 fg on gear from the market and it will be wayyy easier than self found.

Pretty fun game, getting grindy too since gear seems to be hard to find on the MP

There is stons of gear ft on the marketplace. You don't need enhanced effect on gear to get going. If you're level 55 and you buy an 55 weapon for 1 fg on the marketplace, you're off to a great start. Some of us grinded in a question of 2 days with lvl 25-45 weapons with all the way to 71. It can be done with self-found items and small purchases off the marketplace for assisstance with relative ease. You'll get better and better and appreciate every upgrade. That's where the fun is.
