Revise basic game mechanics by increasing Monster Difficulty for low levels up to medium levels and diminishing returns at higher levels.
NOTE: This does NOT interfere with Events that increase monster levels.

We need a permanent Monster Difficulty level increase for lower levels up to medium levels.
100% increase from level 1 to level 20
075% increase from level 21 to level 35
050% increase from level 36 to level 50
025% increase from level 51 to level 70
000% increase from level 71 and above.

This is only increasing the monster difficulty level and NOT the drop rate or %, we all acknowledge that lower levels with gear is obsolete and not hard at all, damn, no one really even uses healing gear from level 1 to level 25 or 30 + in a group, this is because the game mechanics is easy for those that have gear and group together on regular intervals.

Let me put it this way, if I can use:

Angelic elm staff
Damage: 13 to 36
+234 Max Life
+221 Max Mana
+1 to 2 Mana per Attack
+4% Mana Syphon

Mythical woolen robe
Physical Defense: 0 to 4
Magical Defense: 9 to 27
+221 Max Life
+286 Max Mana
+1 Mana Regen
+1 Critical Strike
+6% Heal Mastery

And random Heal / Cast charm up to level 25 when the Event Increases Monster Difficulty by 100% to level 25, this change would NOT be detrimental to the BASIC game mechanics at all, and, if you think about it, if the event increases monster difficulty by 100% after this was implemented, it would be more interesting than it is now.

Post a reply to your vote, even if it is a NULL vote... thanks in supporting Ladder Slasher to improve and be more versatile for all players other than those that live in the past.

EDIT: I play Hardcore with less player base and more balls... :roflmao:

Must be a lot of scared people out there in LS since they can not post WHY no vote.

It is okay though, I like chicken stew or in this case fried chicken and potatoe and gravy.

Should have included Rick's HELL NO option...

Reason being...
The low levels are already the least fun part of the game.
Once youve played long enough you dont even gain prof at the start of a climb.
Low level gear is already plentiful so the drops you find low level are normally low value.

Personally lvls 1-30 are my least favorite. Not because they are too easy but because they arent really that rewarding. If anything Id like them to take LESS time to get through so i can get to levels where exploring can actually potentially drop something cool or at least gain prof.

Why the hell would you want to increase the difficulty without raising the drop rate anyway?



Edit: those t3 items are sexy af for caster low level. max mana > int for the first 15-20 levels

I agree 110% with what you have stated, especially since I have sexy T3 items for a caster to use up to level 20 as you stated.

Thing is this, low level gaming is BORING, just like you also stated since you and 90% of the current player base have the gear.
Also, the drops are more detailed for lower levels and have a higher drop rate in comparison to higher levels.

Your reasoning is also why I believe this should be incorporated, there isn't ANY REWARD playing lower levels, fvck, there aren't any rewards
playing this game other than events, SO, by utilising this and any even with increased monster difficulty would be more rewarding by FUN.

have played this game and have HAD great items, I got careless and lost those items from trashing them of dying on HC... the thing is this,
there isn't any FUN in this game as there used to be... it died.

Even if Paul makes changes to transmuting, it just becomes boring because all people will do is hunt for items, mute them to essences and sell them,
then you get those that will buy those essences up and mute them to make items to sell off at high prices without even playing the game.

Why is D2 still being played after 18 years... because everyone has a chance of having fun and also being able to make a profit... this game needs
improving beyond those that have gear to complete a simple task of 1-71... this game has potential above games like D2 / III or similar games.

EDIT: voting NO for me is like saying "I don't want to make the game harder, I am scared... boo hoo!"

Haha Im not scared of harder mobs :rofl:

I dont want to make levels that have NO potential reward harder and thus take LONGER to complete. I dont want to extend the time Im stuck in levels where I gain nothing at all. Thats not fun to me. Thats a waste of time and increasing the monster difficulty would increase the amount of time Id be wasting to get to levels where there is a potential reward for playing.

I literally gain no prof 1-10 because my profs are too high. Low level gear is worthless so even if I find something useable its apt to be worthless or pretty close to it.

Just because the low levels are insanely easy doesnt mean they need to get harder. Unless this change comes with a change that allows you to gain prof at all levels regardless of prof level then there is NO benefit to the change. Harder monsters with no boost to rewards for killing them is not more fun its just going to be that much more reason not to play at all.

If monster difficulty was raised at the lower levels that would be fine as long as there was a bonus such as we could still get proficiency low level otherwise no.

High level increase is not necessary. The bonus would have to be big like much better drops or profiency 1-71 all the way through. I do agree that low level monsters are a joke.

I agree slowing the lower levels down offering at best more or higher quality low level items and "excitement" seems pointless
giving people options is better than forcing things

if the lower level are boring you already have many options:
1) Whistle (the stupid fast option)
2) Explore
3) Well
4) Trap Door (potentially multiple)
5) Map with difficulty modifiers.
6) Events (not optional ofc)

I would suggest either adding options or making current ones better.

Add Option Suggestion: Return of Arena (ideally with MCC)

Ipmprovement Suggestions
Trap Door: Boosting mob difficulty rather than just spawn level.
Events: Create somehow optional events

Have you given any thought to new players at all? Players who have 0 fg and no gear?
