For a better prof/time ratio only heres what I would do.
1. For a better ratio you want to increase the time your in cata (aka not towning) so lower level would be better to not always regen.
2. Again for a better ratio you want to get as much prof per wave. You want to level slow because if you level too fast, monsters will get harder and you will have to town. So you dont want to hit them hard one shot, but kill them slowly to get as much prof per wave. Without hitting the cap obv.
3. I would use tank armor and weapon/charm with substancy (like lpk or life steal to stay longer in cata or hybrid). With a weak weapon to not level fast but still not town too much often. I would stat all vita unless you go hybrid.
