After researching abit here, i would like to know if its possible to get group climbs going on a daily basis? :)
Another thing is, how much would a decent setup on hardcore cost me, if i dont want to struggle by solo clicking. Just an estimate.
Knowing how active game is - Would you start slashing today?

Ty for your time!

First of all welcome to LS ;)
If you are looking for slashing on a daily basis you should for sure NOT start with hc but with sc as it is a lot more active than hc.
A decent set (for example dagger, axes, casting charms, heals, dex gear, int gear can be between 10k and 50k fg (depending on the word "decent")
The game is less active atm (d2 reset) but should be more active soon again. There are always ups and downs (d2, poe reset/new leaque) but there are always a few people that are still doing a climb here and there.
I am playing this game for a long time now and i still enjoy clicking. (sometimes more, sometimes less active)

Well i havent started *yet* but thank you! ;)
Is Solo very bad compared to clicking together in a party?
I've always prefered playing hardcore in diablo2, and i guess it would be the same in this kind of game.
Always fun to get the adrenaline pumping, heh!
In regards to the gear question, then i just dont want to lack anything, but obviously it doesnt have to be the best of the best.
But neither do i want to struggle, by saving on the precious forum cheese if you feel me :D

Thank you for your time, and the very well formulated post.

A set that will make you feel like you can roll fairly solidly will run about 10k on HC. You can find a full climbing set for as low as 1k probably or even less.
As for solo vs group. It's about 5X faster in a full group vs solo.

Like Otter said, the main difference between groups and solo is the time aspect.. while very good groups need 50mins ish and good solo players about 2,5-3 hours the medium geared players will need 1,5 hours ish for a group climb and maybe like 5-8 hours for solo.
I still like soloing from time to time as it is easier to make a break if needed with not beeing bad for the team.

if you have invested alot of time and got a lot of prof progress you might lose like 10-50 hours of work if you die on sc.. so dying might still give you the pain of a usual death at poe or d2.

You can get low gear for 500-1000 fg or insane gear for 500k fg.. the better, the more expensive

edit: Another important thing: If you really want to play the game well, you will need a lot of patience. You wont be good in just 1 month as it might take a lot of time to find the fitting gear for your needs.

Player base is around 20 total [counting off timezone] and makes groups hard, most of that 20, let us say 14 mostly play Softcore.
You don't lose items if you die, but you do lose Proficiency points, so the higher rank you gain (which takes forever) the more you lose.

Hardcore is mostly played solo, you may get 2 other people to join a group, but not really a full group.

Your main EE items should concentrate mostly from level 25 to 55 and purchase them in 10 level spacing instead of 5s.
Dex and Int items should be your main concern, as is Scales & Padded Robes including charms for your main slot... ACC
slot is only used by EE charms whether you are healing or casting.

Other people will give you more information, especially if they want to contradict me. Goodluck and have fun, also, I have
mediocre gear on HC, and it roughly takes me 9-12 hours to get to MQ using a Feeder class, as for higher classes, it may
take longer... this is just me taking my time.

I would say more like player base of 50ish, and 10 that only play HC, and another 5 that play both. So a significant majority only play SC
