I just logged on after ladder reset (on may 4) and I can still see all the items I have from previous season? Why?

that is normal, items do not erase/delete when reset comes.

so what is the point of the reset? Someone who found an amazing item 5 years ago will still have it... what is the chance of a new player to catch up to them?

I am totally deleting all my characters... pointless

fair criticism, in theory ... if the player base was more than a speck, it might be worth having a core that completely resets. But, without more players, this would be a bit of an economic nightmare.

everybody has to start from feeder class again. so you have to climb your way back to samurai, paladin, monk,....
profs + gear remains.

it takes way too long to gather gear + profs in this game. you cant just delete all.

it will take several seasons/years to gather all the good gear + profs.. one season would be way too short.
why should a new player directly catch up on players that played for years.. just play this game for years and we go on talking

this is totally not pointless.. just another concept of gaming. if you search something like d2 just play d2 or PoE.

Oh damn, poor players, starting back from Fighter with full 150+ ee sets, it will take them whole 2 days to be back to Samurai... Then 1 more year to reset ladder only to achieve... nothing

what do you achieve in other games? i totally dont understand your logic.
ladder reset is pretty rare and a nice achievement at ls which has only been done by very few players.

just go to poe when people have to struggle their way back to merciless in one day
that makes alot of sense.

the re-setter gets bragging rights and earns 100 gp's for their guild

Also @njaguar or whoever the f is managing this game, how is that no-reset strategy working out for you? Share with us the statistics of new players who tried the game and stayed over the years. Because I am one. And I was awaiting for reset to actually start on same level basis as every other player and try to compete with them. Now I have absolutely ZERO interest in this game. Wish I knew earlier to not even learn the basics of it.

P.S. Write somewhere with CAPS letters that the season reset does not reset any items in game, so you save few people the waste of time.

At least they all start at the same level. And you know that you can always skip a season and come back and start even with everyone else. So does a new player, who learns the game during a season and the next one tries to compete with others. Not to have some community of 5-6 old folks playing for 10+ years having everything for the rest of their lives.
