1-22 so far and havent seen a single 3 mob spawn against me as i solo. Did they lower the max to 2 for single player?

Once you have at least one MQ under your belt, the game no longer considers you a new player and you will be able to spawn 1-3 monsters and 1-3 EPs instead of just 1-2 monsters and 1 EP.

Is that for every single season? i been playing this game for like 10 years now.

but they DID lower the max for your FIRST mq a season, on that toon.

so if you are 0/0, you will only see 2 normal and 1 EP max.

if you are 0/1 or higher, ( or 1/1 OFC),, Then you will spawn 3normal, and 3EP as maxes
