Hello!

Returned to LS after a long hiatus. I was doing cata's solo, finished a map and got these as an item.

How do they work? I looked around the LS basics and I couldn't see anything specific. Are the maps the typical size? One of the stats of my map was 11% to level up. Is this as easy as it seems? Use the map, gain 11% exp?

While in town and if you have the lead (everyone must be in town) you either CTRL + Click or double-click on it and u open the map
Its a different kind of map (no td's, no spins or wells can be found in there)

Maze gets a new color and every map have different monsters that are made for those maps.
Volcano for example is redish looking and has a monster that has immunity to fire.

Mobs only spawn once per spot (except for swarm% rolled on the map) - Meaning you wont be spawning monsters on the same spots you been on makes it easier to complete the map.
However whenever you're done with the map there wont be a new one dropping

Maps can only be found by fully completing a regular maze (NONE MAP)

Thank you for the very thorough reply. I appreciate it. Are the maps scaling in size like typical cata maps? If i engage it at lvl 45, it will be bigger than a lvl 10 map?

no. it will not. it will be level 10.

and there is also a level cap, which is approximatly 25 levels higher then the Tier of the map.

so for a lvl 10 map, the max level on the mob just from *leveling* normally is approximately 35. so if you are 36 or higher, you have significantly reduced exp gain/ Mf ability, zero prof gain, etc. etc.

generally best to start maps at the same level as the map[ itself, so generally running through the entire map will level you up within the range.

Size of maps changes, if your map is a T5 - V (lvl 10) it cannot ever change size, and monster cap is lvl 35.

T1 map - 15 mob cap (This is the only map that will actaully change sizes depending on whatever your level is whenever you open the map) WHY? I have no clue... But if u open it up at lvl 55 it will be a lvl 55 size (monsters will still only be lvl 15, so not worth it)
T2 map - 20 mob cap - t2 size
T3 map - 25 mob cap - t3 size
T4 map - 30 mob cap - t4 size
...and so on.

There is a mapmod called "monster cap" That can make monster levels higher, but it only means that they go higher once u reach those levels urself, so it wont mean that you are fighting monsters that are 20lvls higher than you or anything.
