I haven't played in a very long time... I'm wondering how much time it would take to get to each mq now a days if any different than like 2009 lol

Assuming I don't have any great gear anymore; would be buying stuff from the market as I went.

If you have no gear at all and are going to buy items from the market as you level up, i would say it will take you a couple of days or up to a week to grind to lvl 71.
Because people don't put items out for sale at the market any more when the player base on this game is so low. Would suggest you look in the trading section instead for items to buy.

Don't do this, the market place is more or less dead nowadays and I dare say 99% of all useful (aka not shrines/skillables) items are traded on the forums
