It is assumed that there's an even distribution across the fish quality

I also made a spreadsheet where you can enter your cooking / fish rank and you'll get the outcome of how much fish you can stack of each tier (an automated lookup of the second link that uknumba1 posted)

from my experience:

Try using rods that match your rank, you can use higher ones but you'll reel in the fish much slower
Certainly cook along with fishing, just be aware that this gets problematic at higher ranks: When you only get prof from t3 fish and you're fishing t1, t2 and t3 fish, only a third of them will give you prof. That ends up in your fishing outleveling the cooking by far

I'm confused. On the second thread, it shows a picture of how at rank 0 proficiency, it's +0 for stacking, which means I can stack 0 fish. But in the game, I can stack my fish... I'm confused?

Also is there a way to cook more than 1 fish at a time?

- Greatly increased all max stack sizes (by at least 10x the original amounts!). For instance, a rank 0 fishing and cooking person can stack up to 20 fish!

use this picture. add your fishing rank plus your cooking rank together and that will be your max stack size for each tier. for example at rank 0 fishing ( 20) and rank 0 cooking (20) you can have a max stack size of 40 Tier 1 fish.

Its a turn-base game, you will see this after you get some experience. Basically, you have a short time to respond each turn.
If SNAG appear on screen press SNAG Counter, otherwise REEL.
-Play with a rod higher then your level and with the best dura you can find ( for first levels you dont even need dura)
-If you have little left to finnish, dont press REEL like crazy stick to the turn-base rule
-take a margin safty, so you cannot lose the rod on a just one single SNAG, and if that line is passed, reset it, dont be a hero

And the most important tip: dont do it

In the "Level:" box, I put in 2, but I keep only catching level 1 fish... Why?

u need to fish for lvl 5 if u want t2 fish, every fifth level is a new tier fish

I dont fish but here is my thoughts on why this would happen

Fish are alot like equipment, they go by Tiers

Rank 1-4 Tier I
Rank 5-9 Tier II
Rank 10-14 Tier III

Etc.

Note This is just my thoughts and i have no experience to back this up. but maybe one of our fisherman can let us know how it actually works
