This is a simple poll.

Maximum proficiency point gain = 10.
Poll question is to increase it to 15.

This suggestion does not take anything away from the game
as being overpowered... it just means that you can disregard
increasing prof point gain percentage per wave and just increase
the maximum amount per wave... honestly, if you are using 130% ee
items in a group, not everyone gains prof points, and of course killing
a monster in 1-3 hits will not gain much prof points at all... simple
maths makes for simple solution in just increasing the maximum prof
from 10 to 15 per wave.

with the rate you get prof now, you'll need to to click about 30 times each wave to hit the 10 point limit, so only see this helping people who are already farming prof.

I was actually increasing it for those that are in groups like 3+ to gain profs more than those solo'ing, but then, even those solo'ing with high EE items will not get further because
they kill a monster in like 3-5 actions [per wave] unless they are Evil Presence [which only turn up every 30+ monsters in a maze].

Just thinking outside of the rudimentary gains for weapons, casting charms and heal charms vs skilling prof gains... I did fishing/cooking on a character, and found that I can gain more prof
points vs weapon/charm [casting/healing]. Hence this post.

i guess 10 prof points should be enough.. nn to farm profs with low weapons

I am not so sure about this 10 points per wave, guys. I believe it is actually max 10 points per mob.

I remember when prof was first introduced, and the big thing that got farmed was Sneaky.
There were those that would hit on him all day (well, a few hours anyway) and obtained unreasonably high prof levels in a super short time.
This was remedied by adjusting the prof gain to max 10 prof points per mob

The high prof points that were obtained in this manner were adjusted to a more reasonable level, by the way.

I remember when I started LS and what you have stated was basically true, they would just pump vitality and just gain profs
from the old Arena / Well that was there... now the 10 max prof points were introduced to counter this abuse... and it was
rightfully needed then, but, with the changes to the game and many updates since then, the limit should be increased because
there is NO way to manipulate how was in the past.

Let us look at simple mathematics.

Maximum 10 points per Wave [solo'ing]
Rank 5 = [6000/6000] to rank 6 = a total of 600 waves or encounters [Note, ensuring you gain the expected 10 prof points], now
if you divide that by 5 people in group, it would only be 1200 prof points and omfg... you don't gain a level in the 1 hour so called full group run.

Anyway... try some maths to calculate the difference between solo/5 person group party etc.

I just think that 15 max prof point gain would be more ideal for a 5 person group run etc.

Prof was tweaked not too long ago. Plus, the penalty for taking a td was removed. Prof is in a decent place atm. If you want to gain more, solo. Keep in mind the time it takes to solo a climb vs group. You can do the math. :p

Not argue'ing these points...I am just re-iterating that 10 maximum prof points vs 15 per wave is actually decent for group and solo... this is not a bias
request at all. The tweak is only MINOR... in the past before the tweak, you would contribute 20 actions to gain 10 maximum prof points, now with the
so called tweak, it is like 17 actions to gain the so called 10 max prof points... thing is this... in a full group divided by 5, the numbers don't actually
add up.

Anyway... you are correct... no matter what, if you have rank 6 in a weapon/cast/heal charm... you need to obtain 7000 prof points for the next rank level.
This means you have to confront 700 waves of monsters minimum gaining 10 prof points per wave... this is solo'ing, so when you are in a group of 5, then
you should multiply that number by a minimum of 5... so 5x700 = 3500 waves [give or take vs EPs vs Normal]

Anyway... consider some maths before voting... I see the votes favour no change to what is currently available... think on it more... nice responses so far.

I get your point. It is a bit like raising the prof gain in fishing - those, who fished long would get a disadvantage against newcomers. On the other hand, seeing a success faster is necessary for most of the peoples motivation. That could help bringing - and keeping - new slashers to the game.

last season on my WL I was getting about 2-3% per earth prof on 5 man group and around 5% solo. (Rank 26 earth)
