I don't think I've ever shrined or sold any of my actual items but it still scares me.
A lock item feature would be so good.

I deleted my mq armor some weeks ago, was so upset... We definitly need a lock feature

While I’m in favor of just being extra careful, especially on mobile, I don’t see why a lock feature couldn’t be worked into the game.

Pay fg or maybe use essences/other materials to personlize an item.
Pay fg or use materials to protect an item (preventing sale/transfer/trash/skilling without going thru multistep confirmation)

Once the underlying mechanics for locking an item are in place you could have built in mechanism for renting items out with a percent fee as a fg sink. Hardcore would still have risk of item loss on death but there could be a deposit paid to cover that risk.

I lost two mq axes 185 ee and 210 ee..... Quit playing after that until locks are implemented. One climb apart from each fuck up....

some years ago I shrined half an ice set before I realized I was pulling things from the wrong category in my vault.

+1 for item locks. I play slowly as to not make this mistake, but I did make it once when starting. I just had to slow down and think twice before any action in inventory takes place

when auto shrine i made this mistake.. or turn off trashcan in edit tool's" instead of a lock ..i hear phone users can drag item there by mistake ..
