In theory. Mobs harder and maybe better drops.

You can leave it and make a new game if you want.

Afaic there is no clear evidence of getting best drops after falilng through a trap door.
What I personally do is just making a new game.

the only time i run them is when there’s an event that makes trap door monsters a higher level. when this happens you can find higher level items in trap doors than you normally would, but the monsters are significantly harder. i only run them around level 35-50, and even then i usually get frustrated by the slowed down kill speed and just make a new game.
