what's a runeword?

Great question! In Ladder Slasher, a runeword is a special item you create by socketing runes into equipment in a specific order.

Unlike Diablo 2, Ladder Slasher's runewords are part of its Runeword Mastery system. To use or unlock runewords, you typically need to level up the mastery skill and experiment with combinations to discover new effects. It’s part crafting, part puzzle!

If you’re just getting started, I recommend checking the in game Mastery Hall or the LS subforum for some beginner friendly combos. You’ll unlock cool bonuses and gear progression once you get the hang of it.

Here’s a simple starter friendly option you can try:

beginner Runeword Example (for a weapon)
El + Tir often gives bonuses like extra mana per kill or attack rating; great for early levels!

How to craft it:

1. Find or buy a weapon with empty sockets.


2. Make sure the Runeword Mastery skill is leveled at least a bit; this unlocks the ability.


3. Socket the runes in the correct order (very important).


4. The runeword will auto activate when the conditions are met.
