It was a very different game back then. You could still level up on lower level monsters despite being a higher level. Now, if you try to do what Datis did, you’ll end up just getting 1 exp per kill and need a million kills per level.
However, it’s still possible to level up at any level with +% level up maps and emblems.
To my knowledge, I have the record in recent times at lvl 153 (and did it via solo explore and killing evil presences even up to lvl 153).
I guess we’ll have to see if someone has gone higher now that it’s actually hard :P

With Datis reaching level 200+, he also found a glitch with the Mini Map, where exploring took you off the mini map... so you had to navigate backwards... Yup, the catacomb exceeded the mini map, so NOW, with updates, catacomb sizes have been fitted, and also Monster Levels increasing with Character level because Datis could use his level 150 character during a level 1 to 71 run... which also meant to increase unlocked characters MQ level by 2 from feeder etc.
So those updates was because of him (Datis) ... since those updates, I haven't seen a person getting to level 200, oh, also.. Datis did this on HC and level 150 on HC... I doubt we will see this happen either, but hey, remember, any monster can 1 hit kill you @ level 90+
