I'm stuck in a situation where I can't deal enough dmg to keep up with spawning monsters.
So far I know these 3 will work
Resetting with a map
Buying a 100 gold weapon to annihilate the $@#! out of the mobs
Using multiple comfreys to keep up the dmg going
What other options are there?

I can kill 1 mob before my hp goes to 20% and have to go back to town

You need some better gear, which you can get cheap to make a big improvement.

Even a level 40 club with no EE will do almost twice the damage as your current. (Theres one on MP for 1fg with 2EE right now, for 1fg, does 61 to 278 dmg)

get enhanced effect armor... get 90 vit+ if robe char and maybe salvation and a heal charm .. get stat gear ..or do easy mode might help.. get team 1 mage 1 tank char.. join guild that helps ..some options u have prob for solo get high 90+ vit with powerstrike ability and a ok weapon.. mage cheap if u want go that rout and do all intel 100+ and vit 40-60 with sneaky objective done.. When in town fish save some rods up.. glyph t1 items ..all helps

I bought level 40 weapons and armor however I still get too much dmg
Going in with 100% hp
Killing 1 mob which instant respawns and I have 20% hp left

is better then the 40 armor with no ee..look at the defense 49 to 123

I am looking at the defense yes, however I thought there was other calculations going on for item levels.
However this is not the case.
I still take a lot of dmg and I don't think I can survive more than 5 seconds of dmg from 9 mob before going back to town.
There are no armors at level 40 that offer 100+ ED that can help me survive that burst of damage.
I am ready to pay 50 FG for one but unfortunately there are none offered in the market.
Or is there a way I can craft myself one that has 100 EE @ LVL 40?

you did not add enough to vit.. would also add to defense plus life pool.. you at 55 vit when should be 80+ ... u added to intel? only good as a healer that class and a tank basically ..Make that char a mule for now and start a new level 1 with better starting stats and better class to use.. my suggestion start a rogue can use more types of gear you find cheap.. search enhanced effect (40) items out buy some cheap 1fg items ...go all vit and 1 stat like str or dex dependiing on weapon choice.. or make mage go all intel gear . with enhanced effect charms 1 attack charm and heal charms level 10+ for heals ..can make full mage for 100-200 that can do all 71 levels

If you are against 9 mob monsters, I would restart a new catacombs game. Even with beginner gear can almost be impossible sometimes.

That isn't a very common occurrence getting 9 mobs like that. Certain monsters have abilities, that one replicates itself. If that happens you are best to restart the maze.

Also make sure you're playing on easy mode.
