I hate TDs', re-create when I enter them because they take up time for junk. Has something changed?

Well I am in a Trap Door, totally forgot I was in one and carried on exploring (only a short distance), however, it doesn't seem to be that hard. The Prnt Scrn following will show my current level as proof with the Chat log:

https://prnt.sc/yuF-ptrmtbpR

Well, I am using a Samurai (HC) @ level 68 and using pretty much decent gear for me:

Mystical diamond longsword
Level Req: 40
Damage: 127 to 1276
+126% Enhanced Effect
+3% Armor Pierce

+9% Fire Mastery

Legendary fossilized scale armor
Level Req: 40
Physical Defense: 21 to 85
Magical Defense: 13 to 41
+47 Strength
+1 Mana Regen
+1 Extra Equipment Slots
+1 to 3 Mana per Attack
+1% Quick Draw
+24% Heal Mastery
+1 Jubilance

Rare wild heal VIII
Level Req: 25
Heals: 12 to 126
+37 Strength
+645 Max Mana

Mythical focused heal XIV (ACC Slot)
Heals: 194 to 233
+93% Enhanced Effect
+4 Intelligence
+2 Jubilance
+2% Ice Mastery
+5% Lightning Mastery

Haven't found an issue killing even an Evil Presence... basically killing monster spawns within 4+ hits. My stats are simple:

100 base vitality
030 base intelligence
Rest into Strength. (144 total = 60 base)
062 base dexterity (including Objectives)

Are there others out there that have tested TDs' lately?

I feel like its 5-20% harder and basically no difference in drops or xp really. I remember a long long time ago tds used to be the gold standard for leveling bc there was an xp boost…but to my naked eye it doesnt look like much difference

Thanks for post.

What I recalled from TDs was a simple 3-5 level increase to the monster level (not the difficulty) which means the same experience and drop rate/quality. Made TD hunting obsolete, however over some changes, they increased Tier Level drops based on character level... now that I assumed (wrong of me) was increasing "Drop Quality" based on the "Tier" that dropped (if RNG kicked in).

This event has "Experience Gain", "ML effectiveness" & "Drop Quality" ... however it still seems easy.. and just before this post, I came across 3 EP spawn with my gear @ level 71... it was annoying to kill of just one EP because others kept on healing it, so it did take time, the drops were junk, but at least Tier XII +.

As you can see, I explored a bit more, got spun around a few times, also (not shown) I encountered at least 5 waves of EPs. It seems easier than before... just a thought.

If it gets tedious, just remake... I would. Anyway... I am level 72.58 and ran into Soften the Sneaky Shell... I am not going to spend like 2 hours or more to kill it, so I have to re-create, or just make an open catacomb to complete my last level for MQ (73) on Samurai and hopefully pass to Paladin... :P

Good luck, just post in this thread your findings, it maybe interesting, also remember to check the Events at the time, especially when they have like +100%+ to minimum Trap door monsters etc.

Looks like I can test this out a bit more:

https://prnt.sc/BAp0bfzihkgb

Level 69 Samurai just fell into a TD... only 1 tile so far, but will check it out more.

I've yet to see any plus side to TDs. And I'll sometimes go down several of them. No xp difference that I can see and no drop difference. Monsters have more health for sure tho.

I get that, I was just thinking that they seemed easier to navigate & kill since I basically kill them off at a high level within 3-5 actions (Normal) and sometimes like 5-7 actions vs EPs. However in the second scenario of a TD @ level 69, I got to level 71 vs 3 EPs that basically just about killed me off ... within 10 seconds the damage took over 6k hit points (out of 7.3k) and had to regen / shrine or fish / cook while regen. Killed them off eventually, however, is it that much difference in a TD vs not being in one?

Has a TD changed in difficulty to kill them off? You are correct, drops etc don't seem to have changed, we know experience gaind is not improved, or is it just RNG that the TD monster level (not difficulty) with increased hit points etc have changed a little.

Example: in the past, falling down a TD would mean the monster levels were around +5 levels and you can kill them off and level up and catch up to their level gap. I am unsure myself.

I’m too lazy to read it all, but if a TD seems easy it may be a +1 level TD.

Without an event mod each TD adds +1-5 (random) above the driver. These stack with each additional TD.
