As stated above, is that normal ?

If 2 mobs almost obliterate my entire health and I need to rest for 3min every 1-2 fights... How will this turn out to be once I may hit 60+ ? ._.
Could be even normal, just wondering.

Thats normally a sign of needing to upgrade the gear.
Being lvl 53 and using lvl 20 armor and a weapon with no EE could be a issue of taking to much dmg and doing to little dmg

Could take a while to find it.
Is it wise to stop at around LvL ~40 in my case and just climb from 1-40 ?
I'm just not sure if it makes sense to brute force LvL 71+ for MQ, if I can't even beat a catacomb clear past lvl 30.

Consider purchasing upgrades off of the marketplace. Im sure you'll find far better options than what you're currently using.

There's a level 50 97 ee scale on the market for 19 that would be a massive upgrade to your armor. I'd prefer chain or plate but this is still way better than what you have now.

I enjoy using Longswords, but there are like non in market, especially not with EE. ;-;

I looked through your character and your equipment is simply too weak. Look around on MP and you will definitely find something in the 70-90ee range as a weapon and armor for pennies.

I agree, very few heavy weapons on the marketplace, let alone with desirable stats. Your best option would be to go with a sword rather than a long sword.. it would make your climb a lot smoother. Additionally an armor upgrade closer to your current level with EE is a good idea.

Take a while to find? as in? To find in game or to find and buy?
as Robbie mentioned here in topic you can buy that EE scale on market for 19fgs, that is not much FG to spend and you sit on 1k FG
BUT, it also depends on what your purpose is with playing the game. If its not to spend a single dime of FG and try get FG you are in for a long grind
If you want to get some gear a simple thing would be to make a topic in the trading section. If bet you will get some offers

Regarding your question if worth going to MQ or not also depends on your purpose if playing. You are currently not in guild either and by reaching MQ and fail/pass you earn Guildpoints. If you don't care about that you could at least see if t here is any guild that pays for em you can earn some FG that way. its normally 25-50fg per GP
