Do wells have the same chance to spawn in a map vs an open catacomb?

Wells cannot spawn on a map by regular explore. Only maps with evil well and emblems can create a well.

Oh did that change? I remember just bumping into one from time to time.

So I guess then the question is, do emblems have the same occurrence chance on a Map compared to a open Catacomb?

I would imagine it's similar. I think the only difference is there's no trap door emblems on maps so maybe a better chance of wells on maps?
