When do we get 12 character slots for our account again? I thought it was after u tried a MQ

you get 16, but 8 hardcore 8 softcore.

similar to unspawnable items, if you have 16 chars of one core, you can keep them until you delete. if you delete any then you will only be able to make one of the other core.

So confused I got 16 soft core…. My friend can only have 8 soft core rn.. is that cause there was an update? So basically never delete any of these guys then

yes it was a "secret update" going back many years where this basically suddenly happened.

So yes, if you delete any of your 16 you wont be able to remake them as softcore, your mate can make 8 hardcore chars if he wants on top of his softcore. but you cannot make another character of that core if you already have 8 of them
