So this is a "fun" new mechanic, if you have a group with a well you're fishing in, if one of the guys manages to spawn a mob, it'll be the same level as the group leader.

Well sharing for fishing is a bit less common, however to prevent further prof loss or worse hc deaths to this, i thought a post would help clarify things.
If you're group fishing make sure the lowest level has the lead.

I personally thought it would spawn it at the level of the guy who fished it out. Alas it's been confirmed after my level 78 leader sat in town whilst a guildy got rekt at level 1.

It was me. I was the guy who got rekd.

I spawned a lvl 55-60 monster in Robin's well some days ago and realized that lol

But lucked out, because I was lvl 5-10 and it only hit me for 300 when I had 600-700 life

skill parties are still a thing? i miss the days of chatting in town
now that you can create a game name, just call it "fishing a well" not sure what the change request is

well they're not really a thing because the well breaks and therefore wells are generally not shared publicly. Nothing stopping muting/cooking/suffering/glyphing parties


The change request is remove the stinking mob coming out the well.
Alternatively make it spawn at the lowest level of the group so that it doesnt suddenly 1 shot a level 1.

It was for fishing. But fishing out of a well now has a chance to spawn monsters. Which spawn at the group leaders level and not who's fishing. Which sucked lol

I like it how it is, and you have just explained how to fix it in a fashion... pass the lead to the lowest level in the group fishing from the well. Or are you saying that doesn't work?

that's correct. hence why i don't entirely mind this being just a warning.


Although i suspect someone will complain a lot harder when this kills someone on hardcore. too easily done as no other skilling spawns mobs
