Thoughts on an armor prof?

Something like each physical damage hit you take that gives damage adds .1 to .25 prof to the armor type you’re wearing but is in included into prof cap per fight? But perhaps a prof cap per fight increase? Or perhaps higher prof per level and adds 1 prof to simplify things?

I mean after getting hit in the face a few thousand times you kinda learn how to roll with the punches am I right?

Same deal as other prof each level gains 1ee towards the armor bonus

"Dang It" ... as the "Inner Rex" in me from the first (3rd) and now 4th time seeing this suggested. I voted No, and still No.


Dang, I accidentally at times forget to switch my Tier III armor (EES) back to my main level 35+ armor when welling and take fuck all damage and kill off the level 35+ Well monster that spawned ... do you really need Armor Prof?

Robes I understand, how about more dexterity = more agility and you take less damage with a robed character because they are nimble and swift to dodge more fluidly.

Why not, i dont mind real tanking in groups so some extra defense couldnt hurt.

armor prof should be capped per fight and earned very very slowly - so that it is "there" but not too op
and maybe even only available for solo / 1 tank in the front column in full groups to make it more interesting (pick the variant, could encourage the other group of people to try the other thing)
idk, seems to be OP but for sure if added in moderation would be very cool

tempted to vote no for one reason only.

encourages an armor mastery stat on items and we have enough junk mods thanks to masteries
