From my short experience playing the game I must say. I haven’t been involved in a community that behaved in this manner in quite some time. It was enjoyable being in the monkey house for a while and getting my iron skin back. Trolling was a fun little past time in a discord server I won’t name, the banter was quite fun tbh.
Ultimately I don’t think this game is really for me. Since playing it I’ve experienced pure hatred from other players. It’s unfortunate because there’s only 12 people playing so you must block them and left to play alone. Since starting ladder slasher I had random people jumping into my pms saying things like “I don’t like you or your guild”. Even trusted tagged members and mediators were sending me hate mail via pm. It felt a bit cyber bully imho. Lots of people claiming to be victims to overshadow their malicious intent as well. I’ve even had people openly tell me “F U” in public forums for asking a question with absolutely zero repercussions. That would be instant suspension in diablo trade forums.
Hope this helps address the root of the problem and makes the game grow, in which case I’d happily return. I’ve found mediators and trusted tag players playing with people who bot and macro and use scripts etc. all I know is I’m staying far away from this game as I value my jsp account and this appears to be the place where sad miserable people go to stroke each others egos.
