I recently learned you can mute a glyph and started glyphing then muting. It takes much longer and muting seems to be more beneficial than glyphing. I also noticed I appear to get less exp for muting a glyph than muting the actual item itself. Are my observations correct? Should I be glyphing everything first, then muting the glyphs?

Glyphing seems like it could be beneficial for a player like me who is using mostly self found items and cheapo 1-100 fg items from the mp. Around lvl 50 I hit a wall and it seems I need to either fork over the 2k+ for an ok dagger. I wonder if glyphs could make the grind a bit better until I can craft/loot a better dagger.

I ceased glyphing until I get a more definitive answer. Muting seems to be far superior, but I'm still learning.

Glyphs aren't really going to cross the gap. Getting a 100-120ee level 55 dagger will close between 300-1300 fg depending on the ee which will get the job done. If you're on rogue you could always just grab a staff instead which are about 3-4 times cheaper but it won't be usable on samurai.
For those used to diablo 2, it can be difficult to figure out a level55 with 100ee does significantly more damage than a level 40 with 100ee.
The general rule of thumb is that each tier increased is about 20ee stronger. So a 100ee level 40 dagger would be similar to a 40ee level 55 as that's 3 tiers higher

Personally I recommend people avoid samurai until you've made enough fg to be happy paying for a half decent mq dagger or sword.
Better to reclimb with the same gear a few times and make some more fg without needing to spend on new gear

I don't recommend glyphing seeing good glyphable material isn't particularly common, has a much higher chance of failing and isn't really a long term solution.

The main point about muting is its practically worthless until you start doing tier 3s and your time is better spent killing mobs than muting t3s. But once you get to higher ranks in muting is when it really pays off and is worth a lot.

Best way to get exp is get your min item lvl to mute and push and push, you will need support of guil mates for send you muteables or maybe you can buy it from market.
But for skill you need a lot of time... I play solo on hardcore and sometimes play in group, I take my mutes and when I full my 3 mules 75-100 muteables I go to mute and repeat every time lol

Will do asap! Going through the LS guides on jsp now. Trying to find out how skill ability’s and leveling them adds to its effectiveness and dmg. I noticed multi strike charges by hitting multiple enemies once or twice. My back stag charges pretty quick, but at what point do I stop putting points into it? I heard 72/77 but seems to gain more power the more I put into it. Or does it just charge faster? So many questions. Absorbing that LS guide section now.

The one thing I’ll disagree with is using the lowest lvl item you can gain exp from is fastest. I’d say you spend more time buying more mutables and putting the next item into box to mute by doing the lower lvl ones(I also over stabilize and waste time with that at the end).
