Current strategy :

Increase mute level so I can craft a dagger (eventually)

Save all higher tier white daggers for welling (hope I can kill boss that spawns in a timely fashion lulz)

Monster drops (not banking on this one šŸ¤ž)

I understand entirely that this strategy will take me a year of game play. I’m perfectly fine with that.

Just asking if there’s any other answers I seem to be missing in regards to obtaining gear.

Think : ā€œDay 1 LS just launched, no items available to buyā€ mentality. (Or just simply SSF). Not saying I only want to play solo just not trying to buy a gg dagger on my first week and ruin all the fun.

You shoild play bufcore - do not buy anything from market. Do not die. And better to play on SC as market for sellimg is way better.

If you are talking about level 55 dagger then skilling your muting up to required level will take years.. but maybe this is the fun you're looking for šŸ˜€
Another way which also might be fun is to roll essences (bought), pure gambling
Just playing the game will eventually pay off, hunting EPs, doing certain maps etc. so the best advice here is to just click

Ah you don’t have to be a muter to roll essence on gears. Didn’t even think about that. 🤯 I do awkwardly enjoy the skilling aspect to this game for some weird reason šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø. Thanks for this addition to my list!

bufcore, that’s the answer I was looking for. Currently resembles the way I’m playing already albeit a few nice fellas have hooked me up with a few pieces to make life easier (nice to learn what people put value on). I learned dying removed prof exp so I don’t die. I’m a hardcore player on other games so after a few years of mastering LS SC I’ll 100% convert to HC.

I don't think you will find playing hardcore to be lucrative
There's no market really for mutable items.
And has even less player base.
I don't wanna get smoke for saying that.
Because some items in HC are ridiculous prices.
But even I played buffcore.. and I did manage to make like 50-75fg just from whites i collected grinding.

But mutes aren't gonna be the same
SC has more chances to make fg which it seems your goal kind of is..

I also don't believe many people.can even make 55 essences on hardcore to roll items.
But im saying this before I have even looked at the HC mute ladder so I may be wrong

And I honestly don't really know much of HC. Besides it's incredibly hard to find groups 🤣

I have a 30 sword 100ee somehow if u are looking to try hc. Lmk I'll never use it

You have the right ideas how to target daggers… if you plan to mute your own, you will inevitably run out of patience (and buy) or desire to play. It takes an extremely long time to rank up muting to a high enough level - even longer if you plan to be SSF. (I believe) every single high level muter has to buy their mutes, as it would take forever to find enough.

I am not playing HC LS for profit.

has even less player base.

All games with HC variants suffer the same dilemma, but HC players dare I say, are generally more knowledgeable and better players. And I always go to the HC realms after decimating the softcore side of the game. Loss of interest occurs on soymode when you’re min maxed.

Not my goal even even in the slightest when referring to LS. Understanding how trade leagues work is however a fast track to understand what items are BIS.

My goal is to (as topic states) understand how other players are crafting daggers. I’m legitimately enjoying the hunt and grind for the skilling proficiency and trying to get all of my skills to level 1. I wouldn’t find joy in only seeing dagger rank 9 and everything else 0.

It sounds like I need to find where the bufcore boys hang out.

Is it really that bad!? I had no idea. Either way I could craft gear and sell it on market to sustain the demand for more mutes. Atleast that’s the plan for a self sustainable kind of gameplay that I’m leaning towards.

I’m really enjoying LS and thank you all for your comments.

Nice thoughts on what you are wanting to do. I do have a suggestion after reading your comments to others.

You should do this on Hardcore, create one character as a Muter and another for exploring Catacombs / Maps (also 6 mules for transferring items to.)

The time you take playing Softcore and creating a muter would take away the time for you playing Hardcore. I started HC for like 3 weeks, died a few times, went to SC and had created a decent character with double digits in profs (weapons, charms & fishing), however, I went back to HC and deleted all my SC characters, I wish I stayed playing HC from the beginning.

However you plan to play Ladder-Slasher, I hope you enjoy it for many years to come. Good luck and have fun.

Yes, it will take around 2000 hours of muting minimum to reach rank 56 (to be able to mute 55 magicals) and will require a minimum of like 60k items to get there. Once you're to the higher tiers (where most of your time will be spent) you will only be able to find like 10-20 items in your mute range per solo climb.
