5 6 & 7) Its not fun carrying noobs or your climb taking an extra 30 mins because of dead weight. Invest and upgrade your gear or keep struggling. Average gear is affordable, although it would be nice if you could actually farm gear/sets(ties to #2) its the gg gear that gets super expensive. I think if points above in 2 were added, it would help with your other gripes
Also you said you wont join a ls guild, but that will help you get climbs and you can borrow gear which will help get you going. Until you are established nobody wants to carry dead weight
Hope this helps
He makes a great point here - I use gearsets (some I purchased as whole sets and some I pieced-together myself) which I personally would consider mediocre gear (most damage items between 100-150ee) - middle of the spectrum in terms of stat quality/damage etc. I have spent less than 20k total over the course of the last 5-10 years.
It's less about top-notch gear and moreso comes down to your dedication to climbing with the group and getting usable upgrades as time permits.
Soloing with my mediocre gear - takes approx. 4-5 hours (nonstop play) from lvl 1-MQ in most instances.
Whistle group-climbs with this type of gear take about 1.5 hours assuming everyone has equal or better gear.
This is, again, assuming everyone is also putting in the effort - I have personally experienced groups kicking certain players who have high-quality gear, but they don't click monsters and play with the same level of contribution and focus as everyone else - at the end of the climbs you should look to have more than 3,250 total actions, and 1.5-2mil total damage
minimum - this is just my opinion to be more 'accepted' into group climbs.
The issue is, ONE person in the group with inadequate gear to get from 1-MQ severely slows the group down - we are talking easily 15-30 extra minutes, in some cases it could add an extra hour if they do not have usable gear at level 55. 80% of people trying to whistle-climb will likely have these expectations of each member of the group.
It's not easy to explain this to the more casual players who join groups, particularly the full noobs with no gear, which is why typically groups will just kick users who aren't associated with popular LS guilds or have usable gear. It's not meant to be offensive, at least not from my experience - and I have been on both sides of this issue. Once I became more 'established' in the community, built better gear, and the more active players saw me slashing in groups more often - it wasn't long before I was accepted by the general masses.
I realize this doesn't solve the gripe you have, just hoping it helped better explain why the group-play community has this instinctive reaction.
The biggest piece of information I hope you pull from all of this is, YES there are a few bad eggs within the community, but for the most part if people are noticing that you are putting in effort in climbs and also in trying to better yourself within the game - they will be more willing to be inclusive.

Considering how little good gear is readily available, I think the prices are fair (with certain exceptions of course). So much amazing gear has been lost due to inactive users over the years, it's depressing.
This is also a very good point, the amount of exceptional gear (what I personally consider 170%EE and beyond) is simply just too little and far between which inflates the prices. Couple that with the very high demand and you end up with all of these users with hundreds of thousands of FG overpaying for what they want.
