I like sap/salvation/multi for my solo runs end up with 60+vit ...for chasing 1 corner in 4corners.. some like doublecast and it totally useless for 1 corner ... How do you build your WL for solo?

Do you have access to an ability for casting similar to Retribution / Powerstrike on your Warlock?

It has been ages since I played a Lock, I believe doublecast is pointless since it does not work on 1 monster, Sap is multiple if I remember correctly ... and as for Salvation.. that is just for healing.

Basically... if I am using a Samurai, I have stopped adding points to Doublestrike, and only using 2 abilities... Retribution (since I do not use EE armor) and of course Salvation for healing myself... by the time I am like level 55... I have 46% in each of them... now a Warlock needs to get higher levels of course... so maybe only choose 2 abilities up to like 81? Up to you to think about it, I don't know what gear you are using other than assuming EE cast & Heal charms with +Int gear (weapon definitely) ... however you maybe wearing EE padded robes.

sapcast is like powercast but charges with heals... instead of powercast that charges with cast attacks... So when i level 80 i have to heal a lot against those 1 corners.. or if 3 ep's i have heal a lot solo.. so i charge sap for 1 powercast that way... Sami if i tank for a caster i do the twohitback/salvation because both charge with hits taken....two man team seems the best 1 tank 1 caster...

I use intel robe ofc ... ee robes just useless for me.. or str /dex robes for other classes ...

I go double + salvation. Might sprinkle a point or 2 into powercast.

Ahh, okay, I see the difference here... it is based on 1 sec delay action.

Powercast = cast attacks per second
Sap Cast = heal casts per second.

So nothing like retribution, twohitback or doublestrike (melee abilities of course that charge up when being hit)


Hmm, I guess I would only use two abilities then... Sap cast and Salvation ... Powercast is great at early levels, but not that hot at higher levels where you are healing more often. I guess you would have to test what you feel is better for your play style.

I guess you could try 1 or 2 points into Doublecast (if that is a Lock ability) = 36% chance... the other 2 abilities will have roughly 46% in each by level 60 or 65.

Right .. but i start with multicast 48%...then salvation 27-40%... before i start sap to 72% as i dont need that at low levels

I decided to look at the abilities for characters instead of second guessing myself.

Sapcast to 72% is great = 6 ability points
Salvation to 40% is also great = 5 ability points
Basically = level 50

MQ = lvl 81 ... so level 50 to 70 = 4 ability points to use

Your choice is Multicast... good choice since 3 points = 48% = level 65.

Okay... I am not sure what EE your Heal or cast charm is, however, if they are over 130%+ EE, I would alter my Ability point distribution.

Drop Sapcast from 72% to 66% (= +1 ability point)
Keep Salvation @ 40% if you have a regular heal charm that is 130%+ EE (level 55 of course) ... if below this, then maybe add 1 more ability point = 46%

Your third ability ... Powercast to 40%.

The reason is simple, vs EPs... Powercast and Sapcast deal the highest damage to a single monster... and your initial question is killing off the first corner out of four corners... this is faster than using Multi cast.
