So if she dies (sometimes I lagg) she's gone but is the gear too? Or can someone else grab it like in d2?

char is gone, gear is gone, profs are gone.

dead = unplayable. you can still link to dead characters, but they have 0 health and cannot be played.

if someone in your party dies, you cannot get their gear either

Ugh the party part was really what I was wondering. Dang! Guess hardcore is a pretty hefty risk (guess that's the point lul)

dead and not playable at all. also, magician is the hardest to play on hc
barb/fighter alot easier and more enjoyable

yea, sounds good in theory but you will run out of mana way too often
run 100 vita barb and upgrade gear as you go. slashers are generally nice and will sell cheap mediocre stuff to get you rollin
