i saw there is a vault but today is the first time ive seen it. item storage last time i played was make alts and gear them with + item slots gear

And vault wasnt around 10 years ago. Not sure when that came about though.

Magic luck (on your first char), so if you didn't had a vault back in time you don't have anything hidden in it.
