So I somehow how managed to swap my current gear out whilst I was shrining and lost a 125 ee level 50 axe…

I triple checked all my people’s available slots, worn gear and I meticulously sorted through my vault, one category at a time, making sure nothing that wasn’t labeled for that tab was there.

I understand HOW it happened, but I don’t understand How the fuck it actually logically happened. I’m white trash but fucckkk me
on mobile it’s not click and drag, tap and it’s “ being held “ so if you click some other item while holding it swaps them. To circumvent this would normally just retap the same item to set it back down, however , occasionally it swaps with your curreny worn gear. This primarily happens when I have vault or MP up at the same time and windows are slightly overlapping. Now it’s not an issue if your “ inventory tab” HOWEVER, when on the equipment tab it does not show currently equipped item and minimizes the equipment to one row width wise. This is where the shit show unfolded. To the best of my knowledge anywayS.”

I jumped outta the pit and went to visit my not so trusty shrine, before I dump my junk into the vile pool, I always throw my mutables, wells, and shrine gear into their respective locations in the vault, only keeping 2-3 items need to throw away. About four hours ago I noticed a massive influx of axes dropping. To the point it caught my attention how many in such a short time had dropped. I’m sure you can see where this is going. Being as I was storing mutes and wells then back to the equipment tab to toss my shit in the shrine, I must have too tapped one of the shrineable axes and equipped it, then complacently gave away my hard earned 125 ee level 50 axe, and I also was wearing base level 40 lightning charm in main slot one of my dex charms also was victim of complacency on the fjords,

Anyways, what I was thinking that would in its entirety prevent anyone becoming as fucking stupid as Dave Swift, yes that is yours truly. Simply lock out the ability to equip items by double tapping ONLY when the shrine is in the foreground ( opened and behind your inventory pages ) BUT still allow this if your looking at your inventory tab. You do NOT see your worn items when viewing equipment, or Items, only when selecting inventory.


🤢🤕 Now this is by no means fault of Ladder Slasher design or mechanics behind the scenes, This was me getting comfortable with the vault and flying through cata, unloading on the flly and getting back in the fight. Until I was just wearing my wellable bases and shrined about 3k main hand 125eelvl 50 axe and a 50 dex charm.

I purposely shrined that level 20. 34 str heal a few hours ago, and this is what I get, Vile Sess Pool of HP and Mana had a taste of decent food for once and like a bully in the cafeteria came and stole my fucking bread and butter, BUT was unaware it was yesterdays left over PB n J on stale brown bread made with two heels. That prick.

I’m not even upset. I gotta give the shrine props but holy fuck am ever glad it was NOT my 159 MQ axe. That would have caused some disgruntled rants.

Lockable items would be great. I feel bad you and the ace. But it might also be karma for tossing in a lvl 20 34 str charm.

Equipping items on mobile is finicky. You can double tap an item from inventory to equip it, but sometimes that "sticks" and then a single tap on another item will equip that item.

It doesn't always do this, there appears to be some sort of timer but it is quirky at best, and always has me double checking things before I am confident with what I have equipped. I also keep shrinable items away from equipment whenever I can.

I play 100% on Mobile for several years now and have done enough climbs this way to know exactly what you experienced, and would love some way to lock items.

Im very nervous to mess with gear on mobile so I just skill for the most part on mobile.

People have suggested lockable items in the past. It's a good idea. Putting a lock on all the items YOU DON'T WANT TO SHRINE would give a lot of people peace of mind and would be a pretty nice QOL update tbh .

Sorry you went through that. A lot of us have and we learn to be extra methodical but it stings and it makes us take longer to enjoy the game than we should because we're always double checking inventory and gear equipped and it just makes us paranoid. Be careful !

Yes, this. You end up playing catch with your left and right thumbs equipping four items that you had no intentions of even removing from your vault Then you gotta filter and deposit that shit again.

I have my items in my vault, and I honeslty don't know how I didnt notice it...I did have like four or five other axes in my inventory from EP's so it was just simply me being too careless and must have over clicked a couple items without realizing it.. sigh.
I saw that yellow lightning charm and my damage wasnt in the 450-540 range anymore,.. and was like.. Da Fuq is that?? Come to learn I had fully equipped base items and shrined 2/4 of my get up, the armor and acc heal were in my vault though.

Is what it is, can't be all twisted about it, but I certainly am over zealous of how I go about changing gear now. One comes out of vault, the other goes right back in immidiately, and I not ALWAYS check the shrined item stats prior to shrining. lol

Got a question, have you disabled the "Item Compare" in the "Settings" when playing LS?

I only ask because a lot of Mobile Screenshots I have seen, show that the players have not disabled it. And that is very distracting and confusing, and I play on a PC, remember, if you switch your devices, sometimes the settings on your PC is not the same as your mobile settings.

Just a thought, could also be why some of the older players have accidentally shrined items in the past.

Anyway, there should be some sort of extra protection, but then, to gain experience, you need to fail once or more, nothing is 100% proof other than alcohol.
