when a few of EE moved to HC, we couldnt get lvl 55 essence for even 30 fg. Despite reasonable attempts to do so.
The issue is really the amount of muters who can do 55 items, softcore now has a significant number of active muters which causes the 55 mutable price to rise quite significantly along with the price of the essence itself, also the price of final results of 200ee daggers/axes/charms being higher than HC.
I mean HC is awful for mutable buy prices that I have no reason to explore/solo HC. Better for me to solo on SC where in practically all cases the mutables are worth double. I then also have no risk of losing gear and in general the SC prices of top tier gear are also higher.
So the high end of the table is certainly way off, i'd certainly buyout the entire market of 55 magicals until about 14-15 fg and i'm not even the gambling type.
Also a rare is 55 would be closer to being double the price of a magical than being "+1 fg" In short the reasoning is that you practically have the same odds of rolling EE on a rare than you do with 2 magicals and in fact the rare is preferred as what is the second stat happens to roll something useful?
It's not quite double as both rolls on a rare can't be EE, whilst 2 magicals in a row can be EE
Here's linux's SC buying prices as some form of idea about the magical -> rare prices:
