its a melee immune mob, so you need a caster to kill it. if you leave while it is spawned it will not spawn again for 24 hours or something like that.

Thanks a lot Juston, guess I was misled on how to approach this originally. one of many bad pieces of advice so far, not sure why thats so common but maybe specific to me
