It makes sense I think, I have stalked many of the players high on the ladders, and from what I see most people don't bother skilling at all, which indicates that it is not worth the effort, I think it would make the game more fun if skilling would be available to everyone who plays alot, and there shouldn't be a distinction of spending all your time skilling or climbing, you already have to spend the time or fg for getting the required items so the fact you have to do the skilling "challenge" is just an unnecessary chore. Even if it was instant you would need thousands of items to get to higher ranks. I did some fishing because of the xp event and I didn't have samurai gear but I gave up, I don't know how people ever got to higher double digit prof in anything.. I really like the potential of this game, but it seems many small quality of life improvements could make it reach it's full potential... Tons of useless stats on items, Too low droprate of higher tier items, Too low droprate of higher stats, Quest system fucked up for solo players, Skilling system a labor intensive chore, Event modifiers 95% useless, hardcore no reward, potions should stay until ladder reset, totem stats should stay forever, items could have damage penalty but useable instead of unusable by different classes, death farming changed to xp gain toggle, samurai to be able to use spears, etc etc. sry I'm drunk
