Is it possible to find/complete hack the horde if solo and on easy mode/first climb? Or does easy mode need to be disabled to run into them?

you need 3 monsters, so you need to disable easy mode

Any1 kno if anymods from maps help find the horde faster/easier like swarm on map etc?

i kno for pinch/treasure pest can do evil presence maps ofc so didn't know if there was a similar trick for horde

I do think swarm counts as "encounter" which makes objectives easier to spawn in smaller Maps

I have NOT personally used "Swarm" for hunting "Hack the Horde" or the higher Tier objective during maps. I can however state that since "Hack the Horde" spawns based on "normal" monsters, you MAY have a chance to spawn them during your map hunt of 20% since you can also find "Hack the Horde" when re-running squares you have already explored.

Thus... you can also encounter this Objective in a normal Catacomb without wasting time on a Map that does NOT have the chance to have a WELL.

You need to decide for yourself which is more beneficial.... personally I would NEVER use a +X % Swarm map for any reason, as they just make you level up faster and don't drop anything useful.

i just like to target the objecitves and get up to treasure pest done as soon as possible. mainly using the swarm 1 i had to test the theory and the main maps i usually have are + eps or +chest 1s for the most part

I am not sure if this still works.

If you have completed enough objectives by level 20, you can use Tier IV maps (level cap being lvl30) to have a higher chance to complete either Soften the Sneaky Shell &/or Treasure Pest ... even if using /easy mode.


No sure if it still applies, had a debate about a yer or two(2) ago in the "Events" thread, and people used this method to complete these objectives before level 30 where I had not encountered them by level 50+

so if I did my first climb I can still use the mode for spawning max 2 mobs and not 3? if yes, please be kind and lmk that command, ty
