Is there a difference from fishing out of a well compared to normal fishing?

think in well its like every 3 tiers it removes the bottom tier

I’m sure could tell you exactly the difference. But yes every so many ranks in fishing will drop a tier of lower level fish from being found.

yep when you can start fishing level 15+ it will be very beneficial to find wells

every 15 ranks in well remove 1 tier for example rank 15 you have no tier 1 fish rank 30 you have no tier 2 fish

Do all my proficiencies reset when ladder resets? And how close is it to resetting? Wondering if I should even work on lvling it now

As stated, when you fish in a well for level 15+ fish, you will no longer get sardines.
doing level 30+ fish will stop both herring and sardine
level 45+ fish will not drop sardine, herring and cod.


the well does nothing else, does not improve the quality of the fish or how much mana/life each fish has.


Seeing sardine and herring are both basically trash fish (well they're certainly trash when you consider pike etc can get 600 life/mana), using a well when fishing level 15+ fish is highly recommended.
In general i personally avoid fishing without a fishing event, 26.58% isnt great but certainly noticable and would probabaly allow me to fish level 15 fish with my 11 prof if i wanted to. Without the event i'd fail more than i'd catch, depending on the rod.
